How to Apply your Guideliner

Placement

Applying the Guideliner on hooded eyes

THE PLACEMENT TECHNIQUE (FOR SLIGHTLY HOODED EYES)
Look at where your eyelid fold ends near the outer corner of your eye, and position your Guideliner so the flick sits just beneath it. Don't forget to place your Guideliner 1-2mm above your lash line.

THE BLINK N SNAP TECHNIQUE (FOR HEAVILY HOODED EYES)
Look straight into the mirror and place your Guideliner where you’d like your wing to sit. Apply as normal, and once the backing slides away, gently lift your brow and blink to ‘snap’ the liner into place. Then, use a gel or liquid eyeliner to fill in and connect the two parts for a seamless wing.

Works on mature hooded eyes!

How to Remove your Guideliner

APPLY YOUR FAVOURITE OIL-BASED REMOVER
Gently massage an oil-based remover over your Guideliner™, baby oil works great!

ALLOW IT TO SIT FOR THIRTY SECONDS
Let it sit for around 30 seconds to help break down the pigment.

GENTLY WIPE AWAY
Using a cotton pad or wipe, gently wipe your Guideliner™ away. We recommend a biodegradable or reusable option for a more eco-friendly routine!

How to Apply EyeMatter

Gently rub your ring finger over your EyeMatter balm, the formula has a low oil content to help your Guideliners last longer, so it may feel firm at first. Just give it a moment to warm up on your fingertip.

Once softened, dab lightly over your Guideliner until you reach your desired matte finish.

It dries clear, sets fast, and lasts all day.

Top up the next day if needed.

EyeMatter comes in an eco-friendly paper tube — just gently push the bottom to dispense more product.

Troubleshooting Your Wings

Here are a few common mistakes or concerns and easy ways to fix them.

Guideliner not sticking or tearing during application?

Apply your Guideliners on clean, dry skin. Any makeup, primer, or oil underneath and repositioning them too many times can affect how well they stick. If your Guideliner is lifting with the backing or tearing mid-application, it likely needs more water. Make sure your applicator is fully saturated and press& dab until the pink backing lifts and slides off easily. Avoid dragging or peeling too early, let the water do the work.

Something doesn't look quite right?

If your wing’s looking a little off, it might be due to placement, using the wrong side, or applying it upside down. Each Guideliner is marked L (left) and R (right), just make sure it’s going on the correct eye, sticky side down.

Don’t place your Guideliner too far into the eye, or the flick might disappear into your eyelid fold. Too far out, and the shape might look unbalanced. Small shifts can make a big difference.

Splitting and cracking is normal

Guideliners are designed to stay exactly where you placed them, they don’t stretch or move with your skin. So when you blink or your eyelid moves, small cracks or splits are totally normal.

Just take your favourite eyeliner and fill in the tiny gaps for a seamless finish. It’s all part of the process, and way easier than drawing two symmetrical wings from scratch!

Wish you could modify your flick?

You can! Just use your regular liner to trace and stretch the tip. Your Guideliner does all the hard symmetry work for you. Or, use your scissors to trim and re-shape.
